Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know about building, scaling, and supporting your creative empire on SparkLift.

About SparkLift

  • SparkLift is the all-in-one platform where creators run their own community, called a Spark, and earn from it in one place. Creators share free posts, publish members-only content for paying supporters, and sell digital products, custom requests, and print-on-demand merch without juggling separate tools. Fans join free, and every fan gets a Spark of their own too.

  • Every creator gets one home for their community and their income:

    • Your own Spark: a community space with free posts, likes, and Reddit-style threaded comments
    • Members-only posts: fans join your Spark as Core members to unlock exclusive content
    • Digital products: sell downloads directly to your audience
    • Custom requests: offer a $100 custom request service to your fans
    • Merch: upload one artwork, and SparkLift prints and ships it through a print partner
    • Store dashboard: manage products, orders, earnings, and withdrawals (PayPal or bank) in one place
  • Joining SparkLift is free. You can follow the Sparks you like, join the conversation with comments and likes, and become a Core member of a Spark to unlock its members-only posts. You can also buy merch and custom requests directly from your favorite creators. Every fan gets a Spark of their own as well, and you can apply to become a monetizable creator whenever you are ready.

  • SparkLift is free to join for fans and creators: no upfront costs and no monthly fees. When you sell, SparkLift charges a 20% platform fee on digital products and a 40% platform fee on physical goods such as merchandise. We only grow when you grow.

  • Creators and fans can reach us through the Contact SparkLift option in the dashboard, and order questions are handled through Customer Support tickets. You can also email [email protected], browse this FAQ, or check the policy pages linked in the footer.

General

  • SparkLift is a creator-focused platform for building a community, growing an audience, and earning from your work. Creators run their own Spark with free and members-only posts, and sell digital products, custom requests, and merch from one store.

  • SparkLift is in early access. Registration is invite only for now, so you need a code from a creator or from us to join.

Everything else is running: Sparks (the creator communities), discussions with replies and likes, paid membership, digital products and print on demand merch.

  • SparkLift is for creators, fans, and people interested in creator communities. It is designed for family-friendly creators and communities.

  • You can contact us at [email protected]. This is the main contact email for customer questions, creator questions, and general support.

Registration

  • Yes. Registration is open, and users do not need manual approval just to create an account and use the available community features.

  • After registration, you can log in and use the available forum/community features. If you also provide creator information, we may use it to understand your creator needs and contact you about future rollout steps.

  • No, they are two different things.

Registering is instant. You get your account and your own Spark straight away, and you can post, reply and join other Sparks immediately.

Selling is approved by hand during early access. Once your creator account is approved, your store opens and you can sell digital products and merch and charge for members-only posts.

Creator application

  • We ask for creator information so we can understand what type of creators are interested in SparkLift and who may be a good fit for early monetization rollout. This helps us prioritize conversations and future feature access.

  • Not to register, post or build a community: that all works from the moment you sign up.

Selling is the part we approve by hand. During early access we review each creator account before opening its store, so there is a short wait between signing up and being able to take money.

  • Yes. Approved creators can earn through members-only Core posts, digital products, custom requests, and print-on-demand merch. Fans start with a free account and can apply to become a monetizable creator.

  • Three steps:

    1. Sign up as a creator. Your Spark is created for you at once.
    2. Get approved. We review creator accounts by hand during early access.
    3. Start selling. Charge for members-only posts, sell digital products, and publish print on demand merch from your store dashboard.

There is nothing to pay up front. SparkLift keeps 20 percent on digital sales and memberships, and 40 percent on merch, where that share also covers printing and shipping.

Forum

  • The forum is for creator discussions, feedback, collaboration, rename ideas, and practical creator questions. It is intended to help early users share ideas and shape the platform.

  • Some forum content may be visible publicly if SparkLift chooses to keep it open for reading. Posting should require a logged-in account to reduce spam and keep discussions safer.

  • No. Forum posting should require a logged-in account. This helps protect the community from spam and low-quality posts.

  • The community is intended for creator discussion, site feedback, collaboration, practical creator growth topics, lawful mature topics with the correct warning where needed, and public-interest discussion. Gambling, adult-industry content, illegal content, drug sales or drug-instruction content, fraud, exploitation, abuse, spam, or unsafe platform activity is not allowed.

  • You may participate in relevant discussions and share useful context where appropriate. Spam, repeated self-promotion, misleading claims, or low-quality promotion may be removed.

Paid content

  • Yes. Creators can publish members-only posts in their Spark. Fans who become a Core member of that Spark unlock those exclusive posts.

  • Yes. A creator can mark any post as members only, and fans unlock it by joining that creator's Spark as a paying member.

Membership is per Spark. You support the specific creator whose community you want to be part of, rather than paying one site-wide fee.

Marketplace

  • Yes. Creators can sell digital products, offer custom requests, and sell print-on-demand merch through their own store. Seller access still requires admin approval before a creator can sell.

  • Yes. Every creator gets a store built into their Spark page, for digital products (files, guides, presets, custom requests) and for merch.

During early access, creator accounts are approved by hand, so there is a short review before selling opens for a new creator.

  • No. We approve creator stores by hand. It is a short review, and it protects buyers, other creators and the family-friendly direction of SparkLift.

Fees

  • “Free to start” means early users can register and participate in the available community features without paying just to create an account. Future paid features, creator tools, or marketplace fees may be introduced separately.

  • There are no upfront costs and no monthly fees. SparkLift charges a 20 percent platform fee on digital products and memberships, and 40 percent on physical goods such as merch, where that share also covers printing and shipping. Full details are on the Pricing page.

Payments

  • Payments run through Stripe, the same payment provider used by many large online stores. Fans pay by card at checkout and card details never touch SparkLift.

SparkLift takes its fee automatically and the rest goes to the creator. Creators can connect their own Stripe account for automatic payouts, or request a payout by PayPal or bank transfer from their store dashboard.

  • No. Registering, posting and buying need no Stripe account of your own.

A creator only needs one to get paid. You can connect your own Stripe account from your store dashboard for automatic payouts, or request a payout by PayPal or bank transfer instead.

Shipping

  • Merch is printed and shipped by our print partner when an order comes in. Shipping cost and the delivery estimate are shown at checkout, before you pay, based on where you are.

Digital products have no shipping. You download them straight after purchase.

  • Yes. A creator uploads one piece of artwork in their store dashboard, positions it on a t-shirt, mug or hoodie, checks the preview and publishes it.

Nothing is printed until someone orders, so there is no stock to buy up front and no unsold boxes. Our print partner prints and ships each item directly to the fan.

Refunds

  • It depends on what you bought. In every case, start by emailing [email protected].

    • Merch: if an item arrives damaged, faulty or wrong, tell us within 30 days of delivery, with a photo, and we will replace it or refund you. Printed items are made to order, so we cannot take them back simply because you changed your mind.
    • Memberships: cancel any time from your account. You keep access until the end of the period you already paid for, and we do not charge you again.
    • Digital products and custom requests: these are delivered instantly or made specifically for you, so they are not automatically refundable. If what you received is faulty, not as described, or never arrived, tell us within 30 days and we will put it right.

Your statutory rights are not affected by any of the above.

Support

  • Email [email protected] with the email address connected to your account and a short explanation of the issue. Please include screenshots or links if they help explain the problem.

  • Please email [email protected] with a short description of the bug, what page it happened on, and what you expected to happen. Screenshots are helpful if available.

  • You can share feedback in the forum if the topic fits there, or email us at [email protected]. Early feedback is useful because SparkLift is still being shaped.

Account

  • If you want help with your account, email [email protected]. Some records may need to be kept where required for security, legal, payment, tax, or platform integrity reasons.

Privacy

  • SparkLift uses account, application, forum, and communication information to operate the platform, manage registrations, understand creator interest, provide support, protect the community, and improve the service. More detail is provided in the Privacy Policy.

  • No. SparkLift does not sell your personal information to advertisers. We use analytics to understand traffic and improve the platform, subject to the Privacy Policy and to the cookie choices you make when you first visit.

Safety

  • Yes. SparkLift may remove content, restrict access, or suspend accounts if content breaks the rules, creates risk, harms the community, or conflicts with the safety and trust direction of the platform.

  • SparkLift does not allow gambling, adult-industry content, pornography, illegal content, illegal products, illegal services, drug sales or drug-instruction content, fraud, scams, exploitation, trafficking, grooming, coercion, phishing, malware, or activity that helps people break the law.

  • No. SparkLift does not allow gambling, betting, casino content, lotteries, raffles, real-money games, gambling affiliate links, gambling ads, or gambling communities.

  • No. SparkLift does not allow adult-industry content, pornography, sexually explicit services, sexual solicitation, or adult monetization.

  • No. SparkLift does not allow illegal content, illegal products, illegal services, or activity that helps others break the law.

  • Drug sales, illegal drug promotion, drug trafficking, drug-making instructions, or content that helps people obtain or misuse drugs is not allowed. Lawful journalism, documentary reporting, education, recovery stories, public-health discussion, or interviews involving drug use may be allowed when properly labelled and not promotional, instructional, commercial, exploitative, or illegal.

  • Some lawful mature content may be allowed if it has a legitimate purpose, such as journalism, documentary reporting, education, sport, hunting, wildlife management, recovery discussion, or public-interest reporting. This type of content must be clearly labelled, shown only to the appropriate audience, and must not be illegal, exploitative, promotional of harm, or designed mainly to shock.

  • Yes, these may be allowed when they are lawful and correctly labelled for the right audience. SparkLift does not ban legal hunting, legal field-sports, or legal combat-sports content just because it may include mature material, but creators must use content warnings and age-appropriate restrictions where needed.

  • Yes. Lawful journalism, interviews, documentaries, education, recovery stories, public-interest reporting, and commentary may be allowed, including difficult topics such as drug use, crime, violence, emergency situations, or social problems. The content must not sell drugs, instruct illegal activity, glamorise harm, exploit vulnerable people, or encourage people to break the law.

  • Content may need a warning or restriction if it includes graphic injury, blood, hunting footage, field dressing, combat sports, drug-use reporting, crime reporting, emergency footage, strong language, distressing themes, or other material that may not be suitable for children or all viewers.

  • Users may see a warning that the content contains mature, graphic, or distressing material and should continue only if they are old enough and want to view that type of content. SparkLift may also restrict visibility or require additional review for higher-risk content.

  • SparkLift may still remove content that promotes illegal activity, sells drugs, facilitates fraud, exploits vulnerable people, encourages harm, shows cruelty, is primarily shock/gore content without serious context, violates privacy, or breaks the law. Context matters, but a “documentary” or “educational” label does not protect harmful or illegal content.

  • SparkLift may remove content, restrict features, suspend accounts, block sellers, remove listings, limit access to monetization, or report serious issues where appropriate.
